My next 30 years…

There is a song I love, its called “My next 30 years” and with me turning 30 soon it really got me to thinking…  Whats next?  Then it got me to thinking about the first 30… Here was my life up to now…

Highschool drop out

Recieve GED

Attend college

Skydive

Rock climb

Pilot

Aerobatic flight on the Waco Taperwing

3 kids

Lots of pets

Lost brother

Found “me”

Lost a best friend to a BASE jump

Lost a great friend to suicide

Thats pretty much it.  Yet its more then most people ever do in a whole life time.  What can I possibly have to look forward to?  Granted I get to watch my kids grow up, but  I dont want to be grown up.  Does turning 30 mean I have to start acting more mature?  Or can I still play in the rain, or pull pranks on my kids?  When must a person start acting thier age, and does me thinking as a child that 30 was old mean that it is old?  Ugh…

 

OH and yes I am turning 30 but Deedy will ALWAYS be older

Difference between men and women…

Men and women!

Today was the first day of school so besides being a bit sad I am of course once again FREE….Besides getting weepy (which is stupid, seriously I should be on cloud nine) I had an epiphany on why chicks are way better then men.

My morning went as followed

1.  Wake up and make a pot of coffee

2.  Pack Nathans and the kids lunches (including dorky Mom notes for the kids)

3.  Make THREE different meals… Cody wants pancakes, Kyle toast, Nathan a egg and cheese sandwich. 

4.  Lay out the boys clothes and hound them to complete the “getting dressed” process.  Which includes explaining to Kyle that going  commando is not a good way to start the school year

5.  Take a 5 mins break for coffee.

6.  Fix Kyle and Codys hair and convince them to find socks and the new shoes.

7.  Double check the backpacks for scool supplies… Search and find the items that were taken out by the boys.

8.  Get myself ready.

9.  Completley ready 15 mins before needing to leave.

 

Nathans morning…

1.  Wake up

2.  Eat

3.  Take a shower

4.  Ask Lisa where my badge is

5.  Ask Lisa if the stains are visable on work shirt

6.  Ask Lisa what time we have to leave.

7.  Get yelled at by Lisa at the 15 min mark. 

8.  26 mins later head to car

9.  Forget lunch and have to run inside

So yes the boys were late for the first day of school.

I got home, and cried.

Now I am going back to bed.  Goodnight blog
